Join us on January 4th at Scrunch Salon Studio for “Breaking the Curl Code: Cutting Edition,” an intimate, hands-on class led by two seasoned curl specialists, Derek James(@derekjameshair) and Lacey Jean(@laceyjean_beauty). With a small group of just eight students and two instructors, this close-knit setting gives you the perfect environment to ask questions, absorb details, and truly understand the why behind every approach.
This class isn’t just about how to cut curls—it’s about understanding the why behind each technique. Derek will guide you through his approach to long curly styles, showing how to use different methods to apply lines, graduation, and layers for your desired look. Lacey will do the same for short curly cuts, focusing on modern trends and fresh styling approaches. Both demos are done on real, everyday clients, so you can see exactly how these techniques translate into real salon work.
You’ll also dive into hair health, debunk product myths, and explore the reasoning behind different tools and techniques. Plus, we’ll touch on inspiring business strategies to help you grow your curly business, like modern retailing with affiliate links and tips to boost your financial success.
